“ … fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”

Phillipians 4:8

I HAVE…

love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control

DWELLING WITHIN ME.

Dear sister, what does your mind dwell on? Is there shame you hold onto, fear that has gipped you, jealousy, idolatry or even sin in your past that you cannot let go of? Are you experiencing freedom from the bondage of sin that God has granted to you?

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2

We should be renewing our minds daily so that our lives reflect the Lord more and more. So, what does your mind dwell on? What we choose to think about directly impacts, not only our wellbeing but also our ability to honor the Lord and to be a light to others. It’s time to replace lies with truth and to renew our minds. A great place to start is to affirm what is already true. What is true? God and His word. Meditate on His word and saturate your mind with who He is: He is loving, He is merciful, He is faithful, He is just. As we know more and more of our Creator, the more we will desire to serve Him and consequently bear the fruit that only He can bless us with. Nothing in this world can compare to the peace, joy and contentment that the Lord gives.

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in the vine. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing,” John 15:4-5
