We shouldn’t wait until we’re sick to strive to be healthy.
Respect your body; honor God
“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Lets commit to improving our fitness journey together.
Join me virtually
From wherever you are…
If you’re like me, you want exercise to be enjoyable, not to feel like a chore. So, what better way to do it than with a friend? Join me virtually on instagram when I go walks, hikes, etc. whenever you’re able. Maybe you have a few minutes between errands to get in a quick workout. Perhaps you’d prefer taking a walk in your neighborhood to unwind or to go on an early hike before your work shift. Whatever it is, I’d like to encourage you to set up the best system for you. Lets use these valuable moments to better ourselves in the midst of busyness and down time.
Track your progress
Log your activity on your phone or in a notebook. Seeing what you accomplish will build your confidence and maintain your motivation. Remember to set realistic goals and specific ways to reach them. If you miss a goal, set another to replace it. Don’t allow inevitable obstacles to hinder your success. Above all, pray about it. We want to strive for a healthy balance in which we’re challenging ourselves and avoiding burnout.
Stay Motivated
We all have limitations. They may lurk in our minds, exist as physical constraints or both. No matter what we face, we can generate the motivation necessary to reach our goals. You may need to go at a snail’s pace to push through your obstacles or develop creative ways to work around them. The underlined text above is linked to the motivation page, where you will find practical tips to get started and to overcome the stumbling blocks you may encounter.
