How can we succeed without the motivation to try?
Stay encouraged; be empowered
FEEL YOUR BEST,
BE YOUR BEST.
“Confidence imparts a wonderful inspiration to its possessor.”
— John Milton
FIND YOUR MOTIVATION.
-
First, see it.
Envision where you want to be. What’s the healthiest version of you? Make it real; say it aloud; write it down.
-
Take your time.
Our goals need to be realistic with practical steps along the way. Start out small and strive for bigger goals over time.
-
Be determined.
Don’t wait for motivation; go to it. Take that first step, the next and so on. Notice the difference in how you feel and motivation will naturally come around more often.
-
Do your own thing.
We are uniquely made with different needs. Try various routines and gather techniques to develop a workout that best suits you.
-
Find accountability.
It’s tough keeping ourselves on track long-term. Confide in someone you trust to keep you accountable when you’re discouraged and to share in your success as you meet your goals.
-
Stay focused.
Outward inspiration only goes so far until we start comparing ourselves. Don’t compete with anyone but the person you were yesterday.
-
Nourish yourself.
Eat well. Drink water. Ask yourself, what will bless my body? Do research; see what foods are best for you. Don’t deprive yourself; discipline yourself.
-
Feel rather than look.
Be patient with your progress. It’s easy to get caught up in the physical results (or lack thereof), but don’t forget that how exercise makes you feel triumphs over how it makes you look.
-
Share it.
Keep it alive. Sharing your fitness journey will inspire others and keep your own fire burning. Exchange ideas with friends, family, co-workers, etc. Bless others by sharing your experiences. You’re always blessed to be a blessing.
